FAITH.
Faith is like the magic spell that brings to reality your wishes and desires.
Hebrews 11 tells us about faith. Verse 1 of Hebrews 11 says, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Verse 3 strucked me in two places;
1. God created the world through faith. He believed in His words. No wonder in psalms 138:2; it says; thou hast magnified thy Word above thy name. That same word that was made flesh as seen in John 1.
2. Things which are seen where not made of things which do appear. God made the world out of nothing. Absolutely nothing. Man would have to work with the elements of earth to create something. But God makes something out of nothing.
That makes Him the God who knows no impossibilities.
He is not limited by anything.
Matthew 19:26 says, With God all things are possible.
It's really amazing!
Hebrews 11 is such an amazing chapter to read when you are down. We see how faith made Abraham, Joseph, Noah, Gideon and Samson great men. And how it made Sarah and Rahab great women. We see how faith has saved many. It resuced Daniel from the mouth of the Lions. And so much more that Apostle Paul said, it would take time to mention all. They all obtained good reports.
No wonder, without faith it is impossible to please God. Satan works hard to destroy our faith. He makes us doubt. He makes us to see God has an infinitesimal God. We begin to limit Him by our human reasoning.
Take a look at this, there are times we hope on God to do something new, and we begin to tell Him how we want Him to do it. But we get surprised at the end because it didn't happen the way we expect it to happen, it happened in the way we never thought of it to happen. That's how God works. His ways are not like ours and so His thoughts.
Faith!!!
God can make something out of nothing.
We have to wait long sometimes. But let your faith stay strong. God will never let it fail. And before you know it, those testimonies will just keep running in.
Faith will make us great men and women.
Imagine this, if your faith can be as big as a mustard seed, we would be able to move mountains (though Christ said, if we have faith as small as a mustard seed meaning our faith is not up to a mustard seed.)
I pray that one day, I'd be able to exercise great faith. And I pray the same for you too.
Remember!
¤ God can make something out of nothing.
¤ Faith can make us great.
